Investigation Discovery will present a new side of Sherri Papini’s case – told by her in her own words.” The documentary will be presented as a series and will premiere sometime in 2025.

Remembering Shelley Duvall (1949-2024)
Shelley Duvall is an actress many know from her roles in Robert Altman films, but most notably as Wendy Torrance in The Shining. Duvall was born in Fort Worth, Texas to parents Bobbie Massengale, a real estate broker and father Robert Duvall, a lawyer (not the actor). In 1970, Shelley Duvall was discovered at a local party by talent scouts. Director Robert Altman casted her in his film Brewster McCloud.
She continued acting in Altman films appearing in McCabe and Mrs. Miller (1971), Thieves Like Us (1974), Nashville (1975). She won Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival for her role as Millie Lammoroux in 3 Women (1977).
The scene in The Shining on the staircase with the baseball bat was set a world record of being filmed with 127 takes. Another iconic role was in another Robert Altman film where he cast Duvall as Olive Oyl opposite Robin Williams in the live-action Popeye.
In the eighties, Duvall created her own production company, Platypus Productions where she produced Fairy Tale Theater for Showtime and was a hit from 1982-1987. She moved and lived the rest of her life in Blanco, Texas after her home in Los Angeles was badly damaged in an earthquake.
