Sip & Stream: My Weekend Watch Picks x Old Ghost - Lodi Zinfandel
After falling in love with the novel “Lessons in Chemistry”, Apple TV+’s adaptation is first on my watchlist this weekend. After streaming the first two episodes, I’ll move onto Billy the Kid: Season 2 on MGM+. MGM+ doesn’t produce a lot of series, but when they do they are usually really good and this one is no exception. I’m sure it is very loosely based as not too many detailed and intimate facts are known about Billy the Kid, but there are many fascinating historical bits unveiled when watching this series. Lastly, I’ll do my best to binge as much as I can The Fall of the House of Usher, Mike Flanagan’s new horror series on Netflix. The Haunting of Hill House, in my opinion, is one of the best horror series on any streaming platform — well thought out and executed family drama (and oh, the twist at the end just had me!) — I call it This is Us with ghosts.
I discovered a local wine shop that’s new to me in the Scottsdale are. It’s actually a really fancy grocery store (AJ’s) and their wine section is amazing. I literally had to flag down the wine buyer and praise him as there were some bottles in there I had never seen in a store before, only at the wineries. I found a Zinfandel perfect for the spooky season — Old Ghost Zinfandel from Lodi, California. It’s perfect for those who love those big, bold and jammy Zins with multi-layers including bramble berry, spiced cherries, plums, and chocolate. There is even a bit of cola and mint and licorice flavors to add to the depth and body of the wine. Suggested Retail: About $30.
Happy Streaming! 🍷 📺
