Sip & Stream: Closing Ceremonies 2024 Paris Olympics x House of Cards, Ace High 2023
I really enjoyed the 2024 Paris Olympics. I loved the use of the cityβs most notable landmarks as backdrops for the events. I know there was a lot of controversy over the opening ceremonies. Luckily Iβm not easily offended by things, especially when it comes to art and theatre. I loved all the wins by the gymnastics teams, womenβs skateboarding, track and field, and swimming. There are some incredibly memorable memes that came out of the games. Gold for whoever made these upβ¦
And did you catch USAβs synchronized swimming to Michael Jacksonβs βSmooth Criminalβ? They moonwalked underwater.
I am looking forward to Sundayβs closing ceremonies. Apparently Tom Cruise is supposed to do some sort of skydiving stunt off the Hollywood sign to pass the Summer Olympics 2028 onto Los Angeles.
Hopefully a better stunt than jumping on Oprahβs couch. The closing ceremonies are on NBC and Peacock live at 2pm est and hosted by Jimmy Fallon.
A gold medal winner at the International Wine & Spirit Awards this year, House of Cards out of Western Australia is a white wine with an intense and sophisticated aroma on the nose. Youβll get a whiff of lemon zest, ripe yellow apples, citrus, pineapple and grapefruit peel. These combine with fresh fruit on the palate, plus well-integrated oak with a rounded, elegant and well-balanced feel, giving a crisp and freshly textured wine. The wine is certified organic and conveniently features a screw-cap. A little pricey at $85, but gold medal wines, like the Olympics can be a treat every four years.
Happy Streaming! πΊ π·
