This week’s news has me traveling back in time to third-grade computer class when the monitors were cigarette-stained yellow, and the screen would only flash neon green pixels.
Rainy days playing Oregon Trail were the greatest days in elementary school (heads-up-7-up a close second), fight me if you disagree. Keep scrolling for this news plus a wagon full of new trailers and some exciting series renewals. Dysentery not included.
‘God of War’ Series Taps Outlander’s Ronald D. Moore as Showrunner + ‘Outlander’ Preview Clip

Oregon Trail Movie Gets Greenlit At Apple
Your elementary school computer class dreams are finally coming true. Oregon Trail, a live-action comedy movie is in the works at Apple Original Films. The game created in 1971 and quickly developed a cult-like following as one of the first educational games allowed in schools, loosely mimics 19th-century pioneer times, following a covered wagon heading west. The dark storylines filled with broken arms, typhoid and dysentery. There are so many people involved in this project including The Lucas Brothers, who received an Oscar nomination for Best Screenplay of Judas and the Black Messiah, Caroline Rollins who will produce on behalf of HarperCollins who currently has the rights to the game, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul will produce and provide the original music (they are both hold the coveted EGOT title and won an Emmy for Only Murders in the Building)
