It’s the weekend, let’s binge!
If you didn’t check your calendar, you might think it was already October with all the Halloween 🎃 streams coming at you like a Spirit Halloween clearance sale. While MAX is maxing out its Travel Channel and Food Network ghost hunting and halloween baking adventures, Hulu and Disney+ are commemorating the anniversary of 9/11 with a series of specials & documentaries — mostly helming from National Geographic.
AMC+ has a horror premiere from its sister platform Shudder and don’t forget the temporary streams on MAX on loan from AMC+ including Interview with the Vampire, A Discovery of Witches, and Dark Winds.
If you’re not into horror, but looking to more of the softer side of streaming, then watch Virgin River: Season 5. It’s romantic, sweet, but not too sappy like Hallmark — but if you want sap then Hallmark is streaming a new movie that you hopeless romantics will sure to love. Also a cute film is the young adult movie Sitting in Bars with Cake that costars Bette Midler!
Keep scrolling for a documentary I think everyone should stream and an organic red wine that will keep you in the Blue Zone of life. 🍷 💙

Icarus Dry 🍷 x ‘Live To 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones’ 💙
I’ve been following Dan Buettner for a while now, recently discovering him in the last couple of years on Instagram where he shares stories of his findings in the Blue Zones. The Blue Zones are areas of the world that inhabit the most centenarians (people who live past 100). Areas like Okinawa, Japan, Sardinia, Italy and Loma Linda, California which all have inspiring lifestyles that not only have to do with what they eat, but also how they connect with the world. I’ve binge this series and enjoyed seeing how people live around the world which is one of the many wonders of traveling abroad. One of the areas he covered is the island of Ikaria, Greece where centenarians are practicing the art of laughing and dancing while indulging in red wine that is native to their country — the key is it is organic and free of additives.
Icarus Dry Red Wine is a steal at under $30. It’s a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo. You’ll first be seduced by the opulent plums and black cherries with cigar box and vanilla spicing. Vibrant, elegant and silky is the final finish. Available online and at specialty wine stores.
Tidbits About The Blue Zones on how to live to be 100:
Have a sense of purpose
A mostly plant-based diet
One glass of wine with dinner
Laughter and dancing
Daily. constant activity vs. gym exercise
Have Faith
Play racquet sports
Volunteer
Wind Down
Happy Streaming! 📺 🍷
