The Weekend Binge: Taylor Swift Live, Lindsay Lohan Gets Lucky, Nicholas Cage's 'Dream Scenario', Annette Bening Serves 'Apples Never Fall', and A Prosecco To Pair With A Doc About An Iconic Hotel
It's the weekend, let's binge!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day Weekend! ☘️
It’s my little nephews birthday on this lucky holiday and while I’ll be celebrating his big day, knee deep in hot wheels and mimosas (my sister knows how to keep Auntie T hydrated), it’s also a big weekend for some seriously exciting streams.
What I’m Most Looking Forward to Stream This Weekend:
I’ll probably skip the Lindsay Lohan rom-com, as I’m more into the dramatic-thriller genre and watch instead Manhunt, a series based on true events of the hunt for shooter John Wilkes Booth in the aftermath of the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. I’m also looking forward to bingeing Apples Never Fall, a series based on the novel by Liane Moriarty who wrote “Big Little Lies” and “Nine Perfect Strangers”. I really enjoyed this book and want to see how they execute the series.
One of my favorite streaming platforms to browse aimlessly on is Prime Video that has a huge collection of niche documentaries about infamous people, places, and historic events that are sometimes so random, I find myself saying, “they actually made a documentary about this?”. In addition to streaming the new Frida documentary on Prime this weekend, I also found one about a very famous hotel in New York City to pair with my weekend bubbles.

Sip & Stream: Always at the Carlyle x Kylie Minogue Rosé Prosecco
I love stumbling across obscure documentaries on Prime Video. I’ve watched ones about photographer Slim Aarons, and the infamous Kutsher’s Country Club Resort in the Catskills. The Carlyle Hotel in Manhattan is an iconic hotel with New Yorkers and celebrities. It hosts famous attendees of the Met Ball each year and has always been a favorite haunt of some of the most notable people in film and television. There’s interviews with Anthony Bourdain, Wes Anderson, and Naomi Campbell. Streaming Time: 1 hour and 37 minutes. Currently Streaming on Freevee (Prime Video’s free channel) and Tubi.
Kylie Minogue Rosé Prosecco is yet another celebrity wine label, but this rosé is the perfect way to toast this documentary — a fresh and sparkling sip with notes of strawberries, raspberries, and floral. It’s made of 15% Pinot Noir and 85% Glera, which is a grape of Italian origin from the namesake village, Prosecco.
Here’s a recent video or Kylie and Madonna performing together on stage.
Happy Streaming 📺 🍷
