Oh hello! Are you wondering what to stream this weekend? You probably already have a few things on your watchlist you’re bingeing, but don’t let these new shows get away!
I’m most excited to stream Palm Royale on Apple TV+ and interested to see 3 Body Problem from the creator of Game of Thrones. Being that that is one of my favorite series of all time, I’m intrigued to see what David Benioff (aka Amanda Peet’s husband) does next.

Sip & Stream: Clif Family Sauvignon Blanc x Mannequin (Max)
A silly movie from my childhood that I absolutely loved, Mannequin stars 80s preppy heartthrob Andrew McCarthy and Kim Cattrall (Pre- Samantha Jones) in a story about a young artist who falls for a department store mannequin who comes to life shortly after he starts working there. Also stars James Spader and Golden Girls’ Estelle Getty. I saw this film on the “catch it before it leaves” anxiety-inducing category on Max. So stream is while you can!
Fun Facts About Mannequin (1987):
The part was written originally as an older, lonely storekeeper and Dudley Moore was in mind for the role.
Kim Cattrall spent six weeks posing for a Santa Monica sculptor to catch her likeness. Six mannequins were made with various expressions.
James Spader and Andrew McCarthy starred in three films released from 1986-1987 — Pretty in Pink (1986), Less Than Zero (1987) and Mannequin. McCarthy would later direct Spader in episodes of The Blacklist for CBS.
In the scene where Emmy (Cattrall) first comes to life in front of Jonathan (McCarthy), he says, “Am I in an episode of The Twilight Zone?” There is an actual episode of The Twilight Zone (1960), “The After Hours” where a department store mannequin comes to life.
Clif Family Winery 2022 RTE Blanc Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley: I’m really loving the white wines coming out of Clif Family. The fruit used comes from their The fruit organically farmed Valle di Sotto vineyard in Napa Valley's famed Oak Knoll District. The wine is bright and uplifting with aromas of grapefruit, fresh cut grass and subtle hints of ripe peach and pineapple. The acidity is well-balanced with an overall refreshing feel on the palate.
