The Weekend Binge: Ben Platt Goes Glamping in ‘Theater Camp’, Emma Stone is ‘Cursed’, Brian Cox Hosts 007, Albert Brooks Doc, Happy Birthday Leonardo DiCaprio 🎉, Let’s Toast With ‘Pride' 🍷
It’s the weekend, let’s binge!
I hope you’re having a lovely weekend (in the dark! daylight savers) and if you’re just finally rising out into the sun, there’s plenty of shows streaming to help you coast through today and Sunday. MAX and Peacock just dropped all their holiday movies and specials…basically it’s raining jingle bells. I’m not ready to succumb to this kind of cheer yet 😜
If you’re not quite in the festive mood (hands raised!) then you can add some new documentaries to your watchlist like the one on singer Robbie Williams and filmmaker Albert Brooks.
I’m still on my “the one that got away” binge where I’m watching films that I never got a chance to see when they were in theaters and then totally forgot about — hence my sip & stream (keep scrolling!) for this week.
What’s on Your Watchlist this weekend?

Sip & Stream: Pride Mountain, Napa Valley Cabernet 🍷 x Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet 💔
Happy Birthday 🎉 to Oscar-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio. He turns 49 today and I think we can all name at least one movie he’s been in that is on your must-see list. Probably the basic-bitch Titanic for me, lol (I actually saw that eight times at the theater!). He is currently starring in the Martin Scorsese film — Killers of the Flower Moon based on a true story that is in theaters now and will soon be streaming on Apple TV+.
I still, absolutely cannot believe that I have never seen Leonardo DiCaprio in Romeo + Juliet. It’s now streaming on Paramount+ with Showtime and costars Claire Danes and John Leguizamo, directed by Baz Luhrmann. Here is where you can stream other DiCaprio movies currently…

Was offered the role of Patrick Bateman in American Psycho but turned it down due to scheduling conflicts
Outbid Paris Hilton at a Cannes charity auction for a Chanel handbag which he gave to his mother
Turned down the role of Max in Hocus Pocus in order to star in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape
If you haven’t had the chance to get to Pride Mountain winery in Napa Valley, I highly recommend a visit. It’s not only beautiful, but the cave tours are some of my very favorite. Every single one of their wines is a sip of heaven and their 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is no less remarkable. The aromas from this bottle are extremely fragrant with big notes of mint, cherry, and blackberries. You’ll taste the berries on the palate, but you’ll also get a well-balanced blend of bergamot, cinnamon, and cedar. The tannins and acidity give it a nice intensity that lasts long after the first sip.
Happy Streaming! 📺 🍷
