A Monk Reunion Movie Coming To Peacock
Listen up Monk fans! Peacock has green-lit a sequel movie to its eight-season series about a San Francisco detective with OCD. The movie will star Tony Shalhoub and be titled Mr. Monk’s Last Case: A Monk Movie. The original supporting cast will be returning as well. The premise is Monk returns to solve one last case involving his step-daughter Molly as she prepares to get married.
Jason Ritter Cast in Matlock Reboot Series At CBS
Jason Ritter joins Kathy Bates in CBS’ upcoming reboot series Matlock. The series will be a reimagining of the original courtroom drama. This time around, Matlock is female and played by Bates. Madeline Matlock is described as a brilliant septuagenarian who joins the world of law where she uses her unique tactics to win cases and expose corruption. Ritter will star as Julian, the son of the head of the firm.
Tattooist of Auschwitz Series Adds Melanie Lynskey To Cast
Based on the bestselling novel, Tattooist of Auschwitz is getting a limited series at Peacock starring Melanie Lynskey (Yellowjackets), Jonah Hauer-King (The Little Mermaid), Jonas Nay, and Anna Próchniak. It’s the real-life story of Lale Solokov (Hauer-King) who was a Jewish prisoner that was given the job of tattooing identification numbers on fellow prisoners’ arms at the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp during World War II.

Lucy Boynton (Bohemian Rhapsody) is set to star in the adaptation of the bestselling novel “One Day In December” by author Josie Silver. The story is about a woman who doesn’t believe in love at first sight until one day she sees the man of her dreams outside her window on the bus. She spends a year trying to find out who this man is only to discover that someone she is close with knows him personally. The romantic drama is set to be a limited series and will stream on Netflix.
From Film To Series - Blade Runner 2099 at Amazon Prime
Pretty exciting news for both sci-fi and Game of Thrones fans. Jeremy Podeswa, who directed many of the GOT episodes has signed onto direct the pilot for Amazon’s Blade Runner 2099. Podeswa most recently directed HBO’s Station Eleven. The series will serve as a sequel to the Ryan Gosling-led film Blade Runner 2049. Ridley Scott will serve as executive producer.
